Logical and Legal - 08.04.2018

This happened in a law collage, of course not in SriLanka. A student who performed very well during first three years got failed at the final exam. The man was so worried and went to his professor and asked why he failed him. The professor said that he had not answered the questions properly. Then the student said the questions were very ambiguous. The professor got little embarrassed and said it is expected that a final year student should be able to answer any question that is asked at the exam. Then the student asked the professor very politely whether he can answer any question. The professor said yes of course that is why I am a professor here. Student said Sir I will ask three questions and if you give the correct I accept my results and if not you must give me an A pass. Professor who always thinks he is a genius agreed. The three questions were.
Sir tell me what is legal but not logical, what is logical but not legal and what is neither legal nor logical. The professor gave the student an A pass and started thinking. He referred all the law books during the whole day but couldn’t get an answer. He went to his class and told the students today I am going to ask a very difficult and complicated question for you to go home and come with an answer tomorrow and asked the same question that final year student asked him in the morning. To his utter surprise all the students raised their hands at once.
The professor could not believe this and asked one student to tell the answer. The student said sir, you are now 65 yrs old and got married to a 25 yr old lady which is legal but not logical. Your wife got a lover during this year who is 23 yrs which is logical but not legal and you gave an A pass to this lover who got low marks which neither legal nor logical.
